The White House Wednesday released the Obamas 2008 federal income tax returns.

The president and the first lady filed a joint return this year, reporting an adjusted gross income of $2,656,902.

The Obamas paid $855, 323 in taxes.

Well, isn't he "one of us" according to the democrats? No, he is one of them and proves it everyday. Some bloggers here, claim again and again he is one of us but truth be known, he is weathy. The thing that democrats typically save for the republican counterparts. Well, he is not one of mine. He is spending more money than can be printed and sold our your childrens, children. All in the name of a socialist democrat. He is and has betrayed this country.

With all of those pauses. It seems like you are out of breath. What ? This must be a comment from a want to be The Grammer Man. Spread the wealth Biden, you know, the guy who said it was time to be patriotic, gave less than 1% of his salary to charity.

By my calculations, they paid at a rate of 32%. So is he the only person making over $250,000 that is paying taxes. People like them are paying more taxes in a year than some will make in a lifetime.

Obama did one good thing. He exposed all those Democratic tax cheats. He hired or wanted to hire. To pay up for all the years they never paid taxes. Like the rest of us good Americans. The Govt. got Al Capone one one count of tax evasion he went to Alcatraz Prison. Maybe Obama should reopen Alcatraz, and send the Democratic tax cheats there again.

Obama, you made 2.65 million last year? Time to start spreading the wealth around, isn't it? You can start by sending me about 1 million of it. Heck , I might would even consider voting for you next time.I wouldn't do it, but I might would consider it for that million.

I wonder if they'll be getting a refund this year, or if they'll have to pay in anything. Why wasn't this mentioned ...I wonder why? I'm still waiting for my state refund, will I get interest on my money since I'm having to wait??? Yeah, right!

They didn't contribute nearly as much as the Clintons did (in the prior year). Big difference is that the Obamas gave to a whole lot of different charities while the Clintons gave to only one - The Clinton Foundation. How about that??? I'd like to see what some of his helpers - like Mrs. Geithners son Timmy - did on their taxes this year.

To all the negative comments, Obama does not make half the money that the other presidents made. Look at Bush's tax returns, the only reason that they made that much money is because of book sales and yes people you can donate that kind of money freely because you know that it is going to a great cause. Get over and stop hating the president.
