Joseph Wilson, Husband Of Valerie Plame In ENC

A former U.S. Ambassador whose wife's C.I.A. identity was outed by the Bush administration was in Greenville Tuesday.

Joseph Wilson held a lecture at ECU talking about the first amendment and responsibility of citizenship.

Wilson was one of the first to challenge President Bush on his reasons for going to war by announcing he though the administration was hyping Iraq's nuclear threat and misleading the public.

Shortly after, his wife, Valerie Plame's secret identity as a C.I.A. officer was revealed by White House Officials. Wilson says citizens need to hold their government accountable for its actions, and it's time for the next generation to step up.

Actor Sean Penn just signed on to play Joseph Wilson in Fair Game, the movie version of his wife's book.

Outing a CIA agent who put her life at risk for our country is outrageous. Even William F. Buckley, himself a former agent, was outraged by it. Armitage or Rove should have been prosecuted for it. Why didn't Fitzy produce his own report like Ken Starr? I want to know what Fitzy thought happened.

I wish I had known he would be there. I would have wanted to hear what he had to say. I've read a lot about and by him and his credibility is a lot higher than that of the people he accuses.

What was false? The woman WAS a CIA agent. No one has disputed that. The Bush claim was that Iraq was trying to get "yellow cake" uranium for a bomb. Even the Bush admin admits now that that was bogus. This guy was just getting in the way of Cheney's BS and he got back at him by outing his wife and ruining her career. Check with someone besides Rush and Hannity sometimes, sheesh!

Nice work, too bad every aspect of Wilson and Plame's story has been proven false. No one 'outed' a secret agent, no one in the Bush admin sent Wilson to Africa, and his claim that Iraq was not seeking nuke making material was wrong. I guess Clinton never had sexual relations with that girl either. Next time read more than one newspaper article before you reprint it's lies. I like how you put the picture of Plame up as well. Not as much sympathy to be generated with a shot of the dude, put up a picture of the blonde, 'victim' wife. Total hack job. Journalism is dead.

For those who've taken the time to check the facts, Wilson is a proven liar. He has no credibility.

Praise the Lord, I am so glad to hear about the first amendment and responsibility of citizenship. I was there. I will sell you my story if the price is right. I have a lot to talk about...
