The third-largest film and production stage in the United States is on track to open in May in Wilmington.
Officials with EUE/Screen Gems said Wednesday that its "Dream
Stage 10" is scheduled to open May 22. Already, they said, two
large feature films are considering filming at the 37,500-foot,
column-free stage that includes a 186,000-gallon indoor special
effects water tank.
The water tank will be one of only three in North America. The
other two are studio-owned, which means outside productions have
EUE/Screen Gems broke ground on the stage in September 2008.
