FDA To Regulate Tobacco?

Lawmakers are planning again to try to pass legislation that would require government regulation of cigarettes and other tobacco products.

Proposed legislation would allow the FDA to demand the reduction or elimination of cancer-causing chemicals. And it would ban candy-flavored cigars and cigarettes.

Congressman Henry Waxman plans to introduce the legislation that is supported by President Barack Obama who is trying to kick the habit himself.

OMG, the FDA, they can't even regulate or keep up with inspections of food. They turned their back to the peanut butter, salmanelia bacteria outbreak.

You mean to tell me that the President smokes, and now you are gonna tax me because I smoke? What in the hell is this world coming to? You grow the tobacco and get us hooked on it, we can't quit, it's a drug, and now you are going to tax us on it. That is pure entrapment...

Only poor people smoke...Will there be tobacco stamps for us? If the FDA allows the sale of this product, will they accept the responsibilities of the after effects?
