What's The Best Diet?

A federal study is offering some food for thought. It says when it comes to the debate over low-fat versus low-carb versus high-protein diets, the type of diet doesn't matter.

The study says all that really counts is cutting calories and sticking
with it.

However, participants in the two-year study had trouble staying with a single approach that long and the weight loss for most was modest.

I agree with Abby. It is hard to change bad habits! I have underactive thyroid disease which makes it 10x's harder. I personally am at a loss because all the doctor will tell me is to walk more. But that is hard because from the excess weight I now have bone spurs on my feet. After working all day it's hard to walk when you know you will be in excruciating pain the next day. Good luck to anyone who is trying to loose weight!

Eat anything you want in moderation. Excercise daily. There is no magic pill. Diets DO NOT WORK. Being fit is a lifestyle. You are what you eat, do, or do not do. Its that simple unless you have a medical problem. Check your thyroid.
