A Wayne County resident due in court on animal related charges had his case continued.

Authorities say they found dozens of dismembered animals at 28 year old Lawton Mckenzie's Fremont home last month.

He faces misdemeanor charges involving migratory birds and animal cruelty charges involving other animals.

Tuesday's court date was continued until May fourth. Mckenzie says the dead animals were on his property because he's studying taxidermy.
