Reaction To Reported Puppy Mill

After the Humane Society seized over 300 dogs from a puppy mill in Wayne County Friday, people across Eastern Carolina are speaking out.

The news of North Carolina's largest ever puppy mill raid shocked many. one local dog breeder called the situation. Jennifer Schultz breeds dachshunds out of her home and does everything by the book. She warns people looking for dogs can be swindled by puppy mills. What she offers, puppy mills never can.

The Greenville Veterinary Hospital says people looking to purchase a dog should seek guidance from local veterinarians. They will be able to recommend reputable breeders or services.
