The slumping economy may be impacting one of people's most intimate purchases.

Sales of sexy underwear, like thongs, have taken a hit over the past several months because of the recession. However, sales of more practical underwear actually increased in the third quarter of 2008.

Experts think that in uncomfortable economic times shoppers are looking for a little comfort in other areas.

    The money used to pay for the poll was likely part of a grant given to some do-good organization (by the liberals) and was designed to keep them employed - which it apparently did. I can hardly wait to see the results of their next poll.

    OH! Paleeze!!! with all that's going on U take a poll on what kind of "drawers" a female is buying??? No wonder our country is off it's rocker!!! How about studying how many people can't pay their utiliy bills, can't buy food, medicine, school clothes, etc,,,,, "DRAWERS" come on!
