Spay Today is a non-profit, low cost clinic across the parking lot from the Pitt County Animal Shelter and it is offering low cost spaying for cats in February.

You can call and make an appointment for your female cat to be spayed, and it only costs $20. Normally the cost for spaying can be $50- $200. It's called the Beat the Heat promotion and it's funded through Pet Smart charities.

The clinic also provides low cost services like vaccinations or testing. To make an appointment call 252-321-8839.

When was the last time you saw a human doctor???? lol! I guarantee they cost more than a vet. Vets are not heartless either. If your vet is heartless, get a new one. Don't blame everyone in the profession for a bad apple.

Please if you have a cat that is not spayed, get it spayed. Only you can save the lives of unborn kittens by making sure the female cat never has them. If you are in doubt, go the shelter and see all the cats and kittens that will not get out alive because someone thought it was okay to let their cat breed.
