Deputies said the tallest, home-grown marijuana plant was at least 12 feet tall.
Deputies in Carteret County said a concerned citizen called for police to take a look at a Newport man's home.
Deputies said 52-year-old Donald Krimminger was cooperative with deputies when they seized 24 marijuana plants from outside the Newport man's home.
Deputies said the plants would yield more than 40 pounds of marijuana. The tallest of the plants seized was at least 12 feet tall, according to investigators.
Krimminger was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling to sell narcotics. Krimminger was placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $10,000.00 bond
