Cheryl Buck works at the Beaufort County Educational Technology Center, teaching physical science, earth and environmental science and biology.
The center is the only alternative school in Beaufort County and many of the students face tough challenges in life.
Cheryl has been described as the electrician of the school, keeping the students fired up and on track, as well as nurturing them and being a role model for them.
She is retiring on October 31 after many years of teaching, and we wish her the best!
