POLICE: Three Greenville Armed Robberies Unrelated

Greenville police are investigating their third armed robbery for the week and so far they do not believe they are connected.

The latest happened early Tuesday morning. A police report says a Virginia woman was held up at gunpoint at the Baymont Inn and Suites on South Memorial Dr., just south of Greenville Blvd. The victim reported the armed robbery to Greenville police at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the robbery happened when the woman heard a knock at her motel room door, opened the door and she was robbed of approximately $450.

No arrests have been made.

About the same time Monday morning , police say two men were robbed at the corner of Third and Cadillac streets when they stopped for a male prostitute. They were approached by a man with a handgun who took their cash and a cell phone.

Police say the two victims ran from their car, and the robber drove it for about two blocks before abandoning it.

The third armed robbery happened Sunday at the Bojangles' on Farmville Boulevard.

Police say they are not looking at these three robberies as being related.
