Wanted Bethel Man Arrested After Running Red Light

Police say they pulled a man over for running a red light, but he's facing much more serious charges than the traffic infraction.

Greenville police arrested 37-year-old Bernard Jones of Bethel Monday night. Officers say they stopped Jones at West Third St. and Tyson St. in Greenville for running a red light. Police quickly discovered Jones was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

Jones was arrested on that outstanding warrant along with driving while his license was revoked. His bond was set at $18,000.
