WITN has been named "TV Station Of The Year" by the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The award was given Thursday night at the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals annual convention in Florida. WITN Anchor Dave Jordan and WITN Creative Services Director Fred Anderson accepted the award for the station.
WITN has hosted the Children's Miracle Network Celebration Broadcast for more than two decades, raising money for sick and injured children in Eastern Carolina. The money raised each year benefits Vidant Children's Hospital in Greenville, which serves children from 29 counties.
The honor is one WITN shares with you, the incredibly generous people of Eastern Carolina, who donate each year during the telethon and the many fundraisers for Children's Miracle Network throughout the year.
