UPDATE: Roads Closed By Storms Open, Power Outages Resolved

Downed power lines closed roads in several counties in the east Tuesday night.

The largest power outage still active early Wednesday morning was reported by Progress Energy in New Bern, with about 300 customers without power. That outage is now over. At the height of the outage, 1,500 people lost power.

Highway 17 in Pollocksville in Jones County closed around 9:00 p.m. and re-opened at midnight as scheduled.

Highway 171 in Jamesville in Martin County closed because of a downed power line just after 7:00 p.m. and has since re-opened.

Power lines down on Highway 11 North of Kinston had the southbound lanes of Highway 11 shutdown for several hours.

Beaufort County
Washington:Power lines down.
Chocowinity: Tree down on Voice of America Road.
Old Ford: Tree down on Hwy 17 South.

Bertie County
Woodard: Trees down, light pole snapped on Woodard Rd.

Craven County
Bridgeton: Tree down on power lines in near Hwy 70.
Cove City: Trees snapped, down on Hwy 70.
Ernul: Tree down at Aurora Rd. and Guinea Mill Rd.

Duplin County
Warsaw: Trees down.
Kenansville: Trees, power lines down.

Martin County
Jamesville: Trees, power line down on Hwy 171.
Robersonville: Trees down across Hwy 903.

Pitt County
Farmville: Trees down

Onslow County
Jacksonville: large tree limbs down
