People who buy organic foods often do so for their health, but a new study reveals an ingredient used in some organic foods could be toxic.
Organic brown rice syrup is often used as a sweetener in baby formulas, energy bars and other high energy foods. In fact, one baby formula they tested had an arsenic concentration that was six times higher than what the EPA considers to be safe. Energy bars using organic rice syrup also had higher amounts of arsenic than those without it.
