Savannah Guthrie Begins As Today Show Co-Host Monday

Savannah Guthrie is set to begin her first full week as the new co-host of NBC's Today show.

Guthrie begins her first full week beside Matt Lauer Monday.

We hope you look forward to sharing your mornings with Matt, Savannah and the crew right here on WITN.

From msnbc.com June 30:

Savannah Guthrie has been named co-anchor of NBC's "Today" show.

She replaces Ann Curry, who said goodbye Thursday after just one year as co-host.

Guthrie debuted July 9 with the anchor team of Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Natalie Morales.

She joined "Today" last June as co-host of the show's third hour and as chief legal correspondent.

Previously, Guthrie served as NBC News White House correspondent and filled in for anchor Brian Williams, and also moderated for David Gregory on "Meet the Press."

"She's got an undeniable range, and she's earned the trust of the news community, her colleagues and our viewers alike," said Steve Capus, NBC News president.

Guthrie will continue her role as NBC News chief legal correspondent.
