Property Tax Decrease In Carteret County

People who live in or just own property in Carteret County can relax about possible tax increases.

Carteret County's property tax rate is actually going down in the new budget to 29 cents per $100 of valuation, according to the Jacksonville Daily News.

The paper also reports the budget will spend about $400 thousand more on the Carteret County school system than last year.
