Progress Energy Customers To See Rate Increase

Progress Energy customers should expect to pay a little more on upcoming utilities bills.

The News and Observer reports that Progress Energy's proposed 3.7 percent rate hike has been approved.

The paper says a typical household that uses 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity a month will see their bills go up by about $4, from $102 to $106 a month.
