Nation's Leaders To Examine Gender Pay Gap

Two of the nation's congressmen will hold a press conference Thursday regarding the gender pay gap among low-wage and less-educated workers.

Senator Bob Casey, of Penn., and Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, of N.Y., will highlight a new report by the GAO which shows that on average, women with a high school degree or less earned lower hourly wages than men with the same degree of education.

In addition, among those less-educated workers, women tended to work in occupations or industries with lower wages than men.
