Pitt County Men Charged In Bertie County Burglary

Three suspected burglars from Pitt County are behind bars in Windsor.

Dontarius Barrett of Bethel, Marcus Carmon Jr. of Greenville and Lawrence Johnson of Greenville were booked in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail on charges of first degree burglary, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a weapon of mass destruction and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, according to the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald.

The paper reports the three from Pitt County are accused of a burglary at a home on Woodard Road in Windsor last Tuesday.

Their bonds were set at $250,000 each.
