Pamlico County Requests FEMA Trailers

Pamlico County commissioners voted to seek an influx of FEMA trailers for temporary housing after Hurricane Irene caused severe flooding for many homes.

According to the New Bern Sun Journal, Pamlico County does not have much available for its residents in terms of rental properties or temporary housing.

There are still more than a dozen families seeking shelter at Pamlico Community College after being misplaced during the storm.
