FIRST ON WITN: Waffle House Diner Calls In Greenville Armed Robbery

Greenville police officials said a diner called for help after two young men walked into a Waffle House restaurant, guns drawn.

Police said they were called to 306 SE Greenville Blvd. at 12:53 a.m. Wednesday for an armed robbery.

Officials said two young men, possibly teenagers, walked into the restaurant with guns drawn, demanding cash.

Both employees and diners were inside at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The gunmen took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to officials.

Police said they called out a canine unit to track the robbers, but lost the scent where they believe a get away car was parked.

Officers said they did not have any further description of the robbers available to release.

If you have any information that may help police find the crooks, you are asked to call Pitt-Greenville CrimeStoppers at (252) 758-7777.
