Four People Charged In Greenville Armed Robbery Go Before Judge

Four people arrested Monday for the early morning armed robbery of two women in Greenville will remain in jail.

24 year old Sacha Gibson, 19 year old Alexis Gibson, 27 year old Jason Moore and 25 year old Jeremon Marshall appeared in court this morning at the Pitt County Detention Center. The judge kept their bonds at $300,000 apiece.

The women told police they were robbed at gunpoint after they came to the area to meet friends.

Within minutes officers spotted the suspect's vehicle leaving the area and stopped the car on Verdant Drive. Police say they recovered stolen items, including cash and cell phones.

Also recovered was a 20 gauge shotgun that they believe was used in the robbery.

It happened around 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of Wyndam Circle and Brownlea Drive.

Charged with armed robbery are 24 year old Sacha Gibson, 19 year old Alexis Gibson, 27 year old Jason Moore and 25 year old Jeremon Marshall.

Dispatchers said it did not take officers long to find two men accused of holding up two women early Monday morning.

Dispatchers tell WITN at 1:49 a.m. Monday, they got a call from a woman saying she and another woman were in a car near the intersection of Wyndham Circle and Brownlea Drive when two men approached their car.

Officials said there was one shotgun between the two robbers, and the women handed over their purses and cash to the duo.

The Highway Patrol, Pitt County deputies, and ECU police worked with Greenville police to cordon off a small section of E 10th Street to track down the suspects, according to officials.

Two men are now in custody and being questioned, according to a spokesman for Greenville police.

No one was injured during the robbery.
