New Ferry Dock Coming To Beaufort

People will eventually be able to hop a ferry to the Cape Lookout National Seashore from Downtown Beaufort with the addition of a new dock.

The National Park Service has decided to run a ferry from Front St. in Beaufort to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. It is anticipated that a request for proposals for the ferry service will be be released in the spring of 2013.

The park service chose the new Beaufort Town Hall over a location on Tenth St. in Morehead City.
