Maysville Construction Company Owner Charged For Drugs

The man who runs a local construction company is behind bars after several law enforcement agencies say they worked together to bust him for drugs.

Ronald Bea, Jr., 32, is behind bars in Jones County, facing several charges, including trafficking and possession of cocaine.

Bea's bond was set at $162,500.

The Jones County Sheriff's Office says authorities say they seized 94 grams of powder cocaine, $30,000 in cash, ammunition and drug paraphernalia Tuesday evening from Bea's Maysville home.

Bea runs Bea's Construction in Maysville, a business his father used to run, according to the Jones County Sheriff's Office. Ronald Bea, Senior is still awaiting trial for his own cocaine trafficking charges filed two years ago.

Jones County Sheriff Danny Ray Heath said in a press release about Bea's arrest, "One way or another, I'm going to teach every drug dealer in Jones County what Zero Tolerance means."

The Jones County Sheriff's Office partnered with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the NC SBI, the Carteret County Sheriff's Office, the Jacksonville Police Department, the Maysville Police Department, the Beulaville Police Department and the Swansboro Police Department.
