Local Water Alert, Advisory Lifted

The state has lifted a local water quality alert and water advisory.

Officials say tests from Dare County at the Jockey's Ridge sound-side access in Nags Head have come back with acceptable bacteria levels.

The swimming alert at Pine Knoll Shores in Carteret County is also over. The alert was posted Wednesday just east of mile marker 8.5 off Highway 58 East.
