Local Woman Accused Of Embezzling Thousands From Appliance Store

A woman hired to manage the office of a local appliance store is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from it.

Forty-year-old Sonya Jackson is charged in Wilson County with felony embezzlement of $100,000 or more. In fact, the Wilson Times says Jackson stole $367,000 over four years while working at Bass Appliance.

The papers says Jackson left Bass for another job a few months ago, after working there on and off for 20 years. Jackson's next court date is October 22nd.
