Legislative Committee Meets With Hope To Lower Power Bills

A committee of lawmakers hoping to find a way to bring down high power bills in the east are meeting today.

Today's the second meeting of the Joint Municipal Power Agency Relief Committee, a legsilative committee looking at the high electric rates for customers of electricities.

Republican Senator Buck Newton of Wilson says that it would take at last a year before the committee's work might yield lower bills.

They had their first meeting in October. We'll let you know if any headlines come out of today's meeting.
