Havelock Police Investigating Dozens Of Car Break-ins

Dozens of people in one city work up one morning this week to find their vehicle broken into.

Havelock police say they're investigating more than 50 car break-ins that happened late Tuesday or early Wednesday, mostly in the Tucker Creek Subdivision of Havelock. That's according to the Havelock News.

In a strange twist, police say it appears a criminal left behind a toy machine gun, according to the paper. The Havelock News says police don't know whether whoever had the fake gun was planning to use it to intimidate people or not.
