Greenville Man Arrested For Selling Drugs Near School

While school is now back in session, deputies said one man was picked up after selling drugs close to one.

While school is now back in session, deputies said one man was picked up after selling drugs close to one.

Deputies at the Pitt County Jail said 33-year-old Derrick Ward was arrested by Greenville Police around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Jail records show he is facing multiple drug charges including two counts of selling or delivering a drug within a thousand feet of a school. He is also accused of selling and delivering cocaine.

Ward's bond was set at $25,000 ahead of his first court appearance. He is due before a Pitt County judge on Thursday morning.
