Greene County Mother And Son Charged

A mother and her son from Greene County are facing charges for harboring a fugitive, the woman's husband who escaped from a prison work camp in Tennessee.

Court records show 53-year-old Julia Edwards and 32-year-old Kevin Roberson are charged with harboring a fugitive. Authorities say the two drove to Tennessee last week to pick up Grady Edwards, according to the Kinston Free Press.

Grady Edewards and Kevin Roberson were arrested in Wilmington on Friday.

Roberson is also facing charges of felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. The Kinston Free Press says deputies discovered stolen four-wheelers and welders from several counties at the home of Julia Edwards.

Grady Edwards is still behind bars in Wilmington, awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
