FEMAworkers began going door to door in Beaufort county to check on hurricane victims and see if they need any additional assistance.
Two FEMA workers knocked on Connie Martin's door. A tree fell on her home in the Core Point community leaving utter devastation. On top of that her home flooded. She is now living in a camper beside the house. She told the FEMA workers she did have insurance and already applied for FEMA aid, but says she appreciates them stopping by just to make sure.
"It's hard. I still cry just about every day... a lot of memories," said Martin.
FEMA workers plan to continue to reach out to people across Beaufort County for the next few days and say people can still apply for FEMA aid by phone or online.

FEMA officials will visit Beaufort County today to help hurricane victims with the federal assistance application process.
Community relations teams will be fanning out in several areas of the county Friday through Sunday.
The areas they plan to travel to include Pamlico Beach, South Creek, Hickory Point, Aurora, Pinecrest, Bayview, Core Point, Campbell Creek, Belhaven, Sidney, Blount's Creek, Whichard's Beach, Jack's Creek, Wilkinson, Gaylord and Leechville.
