Coast Guard Medevacs Man From Boat In Pamlico Sound

The Coast Guard medevaced a 65-year-old man from a fishing vessel approximately 9 miles north of Ocracoke Island, N.C., Wednesday.

A crewmember aboard the fishing vessel Micah Belle called Coast Guard Sector North Carolina watchstanders at approximately 8 p.m., stating that a crewmember was in need of a medevac.

Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station Ocracoke launched aboard a 25-foot Response Boat – Small and transport the man to waiting EMS personnel at the station.

The man was transported from station Ocracoke to the Outer Banks Hospital.
