Congressional negotiators have reached a deal to avoid a federal shutdown this weekend.
The House could approve the one-trillion dollar spending bill Friday, and the Senate could vote soon after.
Senate majority leader, Harry Reid says he is confident they'll reach a deal on a one-year extension of the payroll tax cuts, but just in case, work is being done on a plan "B" for a shorter, two month extension.
