NEW INFO: Man Shot In Greenville Behind Hospital

Police say a man was shot early this morning as he was walking down a street near Vidant Medical Center.

Lt. Carlton Williams says the man was shot just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth St. and Moyewood Drive in Greenville.

Williams says the man was struck in the upper body and went to Vidant for very minor injuries. The victim has since been released from the hospital.

Police say they are following up on leads, but there are no arrests to report at this time.
