A settlement could be reached in a long running case involving pesticide violations in our state.

Florida based Ag-Mart's regional manager, Jeffery Oxley, was found guilty of 48 violations of state pesticide regulations stemming from his work on farms in Brunswick and Pender counties in 2004 and 2005.

Under the settlement agreement, Oxley would pay $25,000 to settle the violations. In addition, Ag-Mart would fund a training program for farm workers during the 2010 and 2011 growing seasons.
