Millions and millions of tickets sold for Wednesday night's Powerball, but only one of them matched all six winning numbers. The ticket, worth more than 232 million dollars, was sold in South Dakota.
But a dozen players came awfully close to the big money, by matching five of the six winning numbers. Each of those tickets is worth at least 200-thousand dollars. They were sold in Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
The winning numbers were: five, six, twelve, 16 and 21. The Powerball was seven.
Wednesday's jackpot was the largest ever in Florida, which just recently joined the Powerball game. It's played in 30 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
