A dog named Ladybug visited WITN News at Sunrise as the Pet of the Week Wednesday.
Ladybug is a one-year-old yellow Labrador mix. She sits very well and is a relaxed dog, according to volunteers. Ladybug was surrendered to the Humane Society by a family who could no longer care for her. That means she's already been in a home and knows the love of a family and how to love a family back, volunteers say.
Volunteers also say people can help raise money for the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina by eating out. During Mondays and Tuesdays in June, Chili's Restaurant will donate 10% of your bill to the Humane Society in Eastern Carolina. You need to bring a flyer with for the restaurant to make the donation. The flyer is available at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's website.
If you are interested in adopting Ladybug or any of the animals at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, please contact them at (252) 413-7247 or visit them online at www.hsecarolina.org.
