Several Spices Being Recalled

Several spices, including a brand of pepper, are being recalled because of possible salmonella contamination.

Union International Food Company in California has recalled several brands of it spices sold under the "Uncle Chen" and Lian How labels.
So far 42 salmonella cases in four states, including California, have been linked to the spices, but no deaths have been reported.

Lian How brand spices are sold to restaurants throughout California, Oregon and Washington, while, Uncle Chen brand spices are sold in stores.
