The future of a downtown Greenville restaurant, which says it will have to close if city council doesn't take action, could be decided Thursday.
Unk's restaurant owner Jeremy Spengemen is awaiting city council's decision on an ordinance that would allow his restaurant to be in compliance with Greenville's definition of a conventional restaurant.
Unk's request for an amendment comes after months of deliberation to reach a compromise between the state's definition and the city of Greenville's zoning regulation. The council delayed the decision a few times.
The item is on the agenda for the Thursday Greenville City Council Meeting.
