North Carolina's new governor is getting the thumbs up from a majority of the state's residents, according to a new poll.
Sixty percent of North Carolinians approve of the job Governor Bev Perdue has done transitioning into the governor's office. That's the latest from "public policy polling."
Twenty-four percent of respondents disapprove of the job so far, and 16 percent are not sure. Some of the lowest approval ratings come from the Charlotte metro area, the home of the republican candidate for governor, Pat McCrory.
