Actress and recording star Jennifer Hudson says she is ready to come back, and she is doing it in a big way.
Hudson was selected Wednesday to sing the National Anthem at the NFL's Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida on February first. It will be Hudson's first performance since her mother, brother and nephew were killed in Chicago last October. Her former brother-in-law has been charged with murder in those deaths.
You may recall, Hudson performed the Star Spangled Banner at last year's Democratic National Convention when Barack Obama accepted the party's nomination.
Hudson is also set to perform at the 2009 Musicares Person of The Year Show in Los Angeles, just before the Grammy Awards on February eighth. Her self-titled debut release "Jennifer" is nominated for a Grammy this year as best R&B album.
