Last year, North Carolina resident, Katie Greene got the idea that
she could give Christmas toys to sick kids all around the world.
The Associated Press reports that Katie's parents talked her
into starting small, and in 2007, she raised $167 and delivered two
bags of toys to Levine Children's Hospital at Carolinas Medical
On Monday, the 7-year-old first-grader and her parents brought
boxes stuffed with more than 600 toys to the hospital, where
they'll be delivered to patients on Christmas Day. She bought the
presents with more than $2,600 she raised from family, friends and
through her own Web site called Katie's Kidz.
Katie said next year, she plans to do two hospitals.
