The new school year is about a month and a half away, which is how long parents of students in Pitt County Public Schools have to get their child's uniforms squared away.
Jeans, hats and bandannas are among a few things that will no longer be allowed under the new policy in Pitt County. Each school has three colors of collared shirts that will be allowed.
The consequences for breaking the new rules are up to each school principal, in accordance with Pitt county's code of conduct rules.
