Auto Insurance Rate Debate

Drivers in our state could be shelling out more for auto insurance. Hearings are underway right now to decide whether to up those rates. The North Carolina Insurance Commissioner says insurance firms are requesting a 13% rate increase. The commissioner says that rate increase is not warranted. It could be several weeks until a decision is made.

North Carolina's auto insurance rates are the sixth lowest in the country.
