A deadline is quickly approaching for a free service that military families may want to take advantage of.
The City of Jacksonville says it's partnered with two groups to offer free video conferencing calls to military families on Tuesday, July 1. The call times are between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Jacksonville City Hall at 815 New Bridge Street.
The private video conferencing calls are 30 minutes long. Five military installations in Iraq have call centers. They are Al Asad Airbase, Camp Taji, Camp Fallujah, Camp Victory (Baghdad) and Camp Taqaddum.
The calls will allow people to not only speak to each other, but see each other at the same time.
The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, June 25 at 5 p.m. You must submit your request online by either emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or visiting http://www.formspring.com/forms/TANDBERG-FreedomCalls.
