The Highway Patrol now says Highway 32 in Beaufort County is open again to traffic. It was closed down this morning because of a massive fire.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m.at the intersection of River Road and N.C. 32. Tienda Las Rosas, a Hispanic grocery store, was destroyed in the fire.

Highway 32 was closed down for more than six hours this morning as volunteer firefighters battled the blaze.

No word yet on how the fire began and the Bunyan Volunteer Fire Department remains on the scene in case of flare-ups.
