Only a few days remain for North Carolinians to register to vote in the May 6 primary. The deadline to register is Friday, April 11.
People who miss the registration deadline may still take part in one-stop voting between April 17 and May 3.
Turnout at this year's primary could break records. North Carolina has become a battleground for the democratic presidential primary. There are also heated battles for the nomination for each party's candidate for governor. Several counties will hold referendums on taxes on May 6 as well.
