Cause Released In Fatal Greenville Crash

Greenville Police have released what caused the car accident that killed 20-year-old Karen Perry. Police say Perry ran a red light and collided with a Ford Explorer. Perry was driving a Chevy Cavalier.

The accident happened on February 20 at the intersection of West Arlington Blvd. and West 5th St. in Greenville, near Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Perry was the student body president at Pitt Community College and a native of Merry Hill. A memorial is planned for Perry on March 18.
